TEACHER FOR THE DAY
Your student will get to spend one whole school day role playing with a particular teacher. This is a great opportunity for your student to learn valuable life lessons involving leadership, responsibility, and work ethic while shadowing one of their favorite teachers.
If your child loves to be outside and loves to exercise and play then what could be better than being a P.E. coach for the day?! He/she can plan and lead games, exercises, and be outside all day with their favorite coaches!
Same as above, but with Coach Burt!
If your child likes to read and organize, then what could be better than spending the day in the library with Ms. Lambert?! They can sort and reshelf books, help children check out and check in books, help children find a book that’s on their AR level, read to classes, and organize items.
In this room, your child can help run the Morning Buzz, teach Kindergarten through 5th grade students about different tech tools and techniques that foster communication skills, and get to hang out with one of the zaniest teachers on the block, Ms. Pouliot! The day will be a blast and many digital creations will be made under your child’s watch!
Your child can experience what it’s like to teach coding, robotics, 3D printing and design, virtual and augmented reality, and video game design as the Emerging Technologies Lab teacher for a day.
If your child is all about arts, crafts, painting and coloring, then they will love this chance to be with Ms. Green for the day as the special art teacher’s assistant.
Same as above, but with Ms. Couch!
Students start the day off watching the announcements on their classroom smart boards. These announcements are led by students with the help of Ms. Pouliot and Ms. Gronowski. The announcements are also broadcast online and the winner of this item can watch their child lead the Morning Buzz!
Let your child spend the day with the assistant principal. Rest assured that they will not sit in the office all day – they will be all over the school – in and out of classrooms, in carpool, helping staff, and speaking to students.
Let your child get to know our new principal in her element by spending the day as principal! Your child will have the opportunity to experience being a leader for all the teachers and students while hanging out in the principal’s office-without even being in trouble.
SPECIAL EXPERIENCES/SPECIAL PRIVILEGES
Let your child grab 5 of their besties and have a catered lunch at school with Ms. Whigham. What could be more fun for a kid?!
All parents hate sitting in the carpool line for an hour before you actually pick up your child. You may even have screaming children in the backseat! Snag this prince/princess spot and pull right up front for an entire year without having to wait in line--starting tomorrow!!
Don’t worry. If you don’t get the prince/princess spot, you have a chance to snag the king/queen spot! Whoever said time is money was right about this one. A front row spot for carpool—starting tomorrow!
